Prices have fallen strongly in the US Virgin Islands over the past year, 2009, following declines during the previous year, 2008.

We believe residential prices may have fallen by an average of 20% to 25% during 2009.  It is hard to give a more accurate estimate with a relatively small number of transactions and a sample which differs from year to year.  

Prices of course remain generally very high. This is a luxury destination and no-one will be rushing in hoping to pick up bargain-basement condos here.
